Nikki Sixx Announces Work on New Book

Nikki Sixx

Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx has revealed he’s working on another book. In a post on social media, he reported that he’s working on a new project and an animated show that includes music.

“Started on my 5th book,” he wrote. “If things go smoothly we should be able to release it next year. If it connects it will be my 5th time on the New York Times best seller list… It’s an honor to write books. I’ll keep you in the loop… Thank you for always supporting my addiction to words.”

The bassist’s four previous books include 2001’s The Dirt: Confessions Of The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band, 2007’s The Heroin Diaries, 2011’s This is Gonna Hurt, and 2021’s The First 21. His latest memoir focused on his early life as he transformed from the Idaho farm boy Frank Feranna into the rock star Nikki Sixx. Along with his bass playing, Sixx is a co-founder and the primary songwriter for Motley Crue.

The Crue is currently on tour with Def Leppard and Alice Cooper.
