Fernando Molinari Goes Full Fretless with Marco Minnemann and an All-Star Lineup
The timing could not be better on this one. Fresh off our interview and spotlight with Fernando Molinari, the bassist has dropped a new video for “Gemina” from his EP, Numen.
Molinari is playing an F Bass 5 string fretless, and the track puts his voice as a bassist, composer, arranger, and producer front and center. The music is super progressive fusion with a heavy edge, mixing tight odd time writing with soaring melodic ideas and plenty of fretless expression. The lineup is stacked, too. “Gemina” features Marco Minnemann on drums, Mariko Muranaka on cello, Daniel Felix & Chris Clark on Keys.
