Ashdown Unveils the Limited-Edition Geezer Butler Combo of Doom
Ashdown Engineering has introduced a product in its Artist Editions lineup with the Geezer Butler Combo of Doom, a UK-built bass combo amp rated at 200 watts. Limited to 70 units worldwide, the compact unit shares the same Purple tolex and black grill aesthetic as the Black Sabbath bassist’s monster rig for 2025’s “Back to the Beginning” concert.
The Combo of Doom features a Sica NEO 12-inch speaker, which Ashdown says is “designed to deliver clarity, punch, and definition.” The control section includes a five-band EQ and a built-in tube-emulated drive as well as Shape and Active/Passive switches. It’s loaded with connectivity with an effects loop, a Line In jack, an XLR DI output, a headphones output, and a jack for an optional Footswitch.

The Ashdown Geezer Butler Combo of Doom has a street price of $848. It’s currently shipping in the UK and will arrive in the US shortly.
