Geezer Butler Joins Jack Black’s Jack Sabbath for “War Pigs”
Jack Black brought Jack Sabbath to Tom Morello’s Power to the People festival with Revel Ian holding down the low end before Geezer Butler stepped in for “War Pigs.”
The group features Roman Morello on guitar, Revel Ian on bass, Yoyoka Soma on drums, and Hugo Weiss on keyboards. They opened the three song set with Ozzy Osbourne’s “Mr. Crowley,” followed by Black Sabbath’s “The Wizard.”
Revel, the son of Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, has played with this crew before, including their “Mr. Crowley” tribute shown during Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning event in 2025.
For the finale, Geezer Butler came out for “War Pigs,” taking over the bass duties with a bright yellow Lakland in hand. Butler has been a longtime Lakland player with the company producing signature instruments for the Black Sabbath legend.
The entire 3 song set is worth checking out but Geezer hits the stage at the 12:00 mark.
