Bubba Bash Returns in 2027 to Honor Neil Peart and Support Glioblastoma Research
Mark your calendars: the 5th Annual Bubba Bash has been announced for January 9th, 2027. The celebration of Rush drummer Neil Peart will once again be held at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, Pennsylvania with the continued mission of raising funds for Cedars-Sinai glioblastoma research.
The evening of music is anchored by YYNOT and the mighty bass tones of Tim Starace. This year’s guest artists include Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall, Category 7), Joe Bergamini (drum instructor, author), John Wesley (Vertical Horizon), Tyler Warren (Queen + Adam Lambert), Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob, Category 7), Greg Russell (Natural Science), Jack Gibson (Exodus, Category 7), Dave Langguth (Kim Mitchell), Payton Rose Velligan (Weird Al), Zack James (AF2K), and Tyme Rogers (Tech 21 NYC). Cathy Rankin will be the event’s emcee.
“Without any advance rehearsals, except for a quick day-of-show run-thru, this distinguished roster of pro players work tirelessly on their own to prepare for the Bubba Bash,” a press release explains. “Their pure heartfelt dedication to honor Neil is quite remarkable to witness.”

Bubba Bash was first launched in 2023, and has raised both money and awareness for glioblastoma research, the aggressive brain cancer that took Peart’s life.
“After being diagnosed with glioblastoma, Neil was given mere months to live. With their exemplary expertise, care and support, Cedars-Sinai Los Angeles, turned those months into years,” event organizers share. “On-going Bubba Bash efforts have resulted in raising over $200,000 for Cedars-Sinai to help find a cure and eradicate this insidious disease.”
