EBS Unveils the Session 110, a Tilt-Back Bass Combo Built for Gigs and Practice
EBS attended the Guitar Summit in Mannheim, Germany, this year to showcase their products and introduce a new one: the Session 110 tilt-back bass combo. The combo amp is fitted with a single 10-inch driver and a tweeter, but it was designed to “deliver the depth, definition, and character normally found only in a much larger bass rig,” the company writes.
“The sound is built around the optimized interaction between the brand-new powerful EQ section, selected speaker, tweeter, and back-ported cabinet,” EBS writes. “Together, they deliver a deep, balanced bass response that lets the instrument’s natural character come through. Musical transparency with surgical precision.”
The EBS Session 110 is rated at 110 watts. The updated EQ section is DSP-based, with shelving boost Bass and Treble filters and a variable Mid-frequency. The mid-frequency control also has a high-Q switch to carve out a narrow scoop. EBS also includes its Character filter, which gives a predetermined voicing of +6 dB bass boost, -4.5 dB mid scoop, and +4.5 dB treble boost.
Other features include Bluetooth audio streaming, a headphone output, and a balanced XLR line out complete with ground lift and pre/post EQ switches.
The EBS Session 110 bass combo amp will be available soon, though the price point is still TBD.
