Peterson Releases StroboStomp Classic
For NAMM 2011, Peterson released the StroboStomp Classic, a retro stomp box tuner modeled after their Conn ST-11 Strobotuner from the ‘70s. The new pedal boasts .1 cent note detection and the company’s “Sweetened Tunings,” which are presets for specific instruments. A USB input allows for you to drop in your own presets and update firmware. The display is a large, high-contrast LCD that Peterson explains is easily visible in the dark as well as direct sunlight.
In addition to true bypass, the StroboStomp Classic has a built-in active DI. All the components are housed in a die-cast chassis with a small bar around the XLR out not only mimics the ST-11, but also serves as a cable guard.
