Marcus Miller Working on New Album

Marcus MillerIt appears Marcus Miller is in the studio working on his new album, according to his Facebook page. Though details are still slim, the iconic bassist announced a few artists that he’s working with.

“Working on my new album,” he posted. “In the studio with Sean Jones, Federico Gonzalez Pena, Adam Rogers, Alex Han and Louis Cato. Time to make some music!”

This will be Miller’s 14th solo album, though his signature sound and producing skills can be found on over 500 titles by musicians like Miles Davis, Luther Vandross, David Sanborn, Michael Jackson, and many more.

In other news, Miller is planning a European tour for 2012. Only two UK dates in may have been announced so far – May 4th at the Royal Festival Hall in London and May 6th at the HMV Ritz in Manchester. We’ll keep you posted as more dates come to light.
