Marcus Miller Celebrates Miles Davis with a Historic Montreux Reunion

Marcus Miller returned to the Montreux Jazz Festival on July 16th for a special celebration of Miles Davis.

The concert reunites Miller with Mike Stern, Bill Evans, and Mino Cinelu, who were part of the band heard on the 1982 live album We Want Miles. Russell Gunn, Brett Williams, and Anwar Marshall complete the lineup. Together, they revisit music from across Davis’s career in honor of what would have been his 100th birthday.

Marcus is playing his signature Fender Jazz Bass throughout the set, delivering the sound and feel that made his work with Miles so distinctive. This is an incredible band and over 30 mins of must see music for bass fans.

No Treble CEO Jody Miller is a Chicago-based bassist, guitarist, engineer, and producer best known for his bass gear demo videos and as the co-host of The Bass Nerds podcast.
