BK3’s Original Members to Reunite at Jungle Jam 2012

BK3: Scott Murawski, Bill Kreutzmann and Oteil BurbridgeBK3 will be reuniting with their original lineup of drummer Bill Kreutzmann, guitarist Scott Murawski and bassist Oteil Burbridge at the upcoming Jungle Jam Music Festival. The annual event will be held at the Doce lunas Resort in Jaco Beach Costa Rica on February 17th through the 19th, 2012. The trio hasn’t performed together in several years.

“[Phish’s Mike Gordon] introduced me to Oteil and the lead guitar player from Max Creek— Scott Murawski — and the three of us just had a time,” former Grateful Dead drummer Kreutzmann told Jambands.com. “I still have pictures in my mind of those two guys standing out in front of my drums just interlaced in their music. It was very, very, very high music. Sometimes when the music is like that it doesn’t last that long but when it was lasting it was really great. BK3 was great—really great trio.”

Burbridge of course has been busy lately with the Tedeschi and Trucks Band in addition to his regular Allman Brothers Band gig.

Other Jungle Jam performers include Max Creek, the Ryan Montbleau Band, and Zach Deputy. For more info and ticketing on the event, check out the Jungle Jam website.
