Boulder Creek Introduces The Travel Bass
Boulder Creek’s Solitaire series of acoustic/electric bass guitars has gotten a little bigger with a smaller bass. The Travel Bass puts the company’s Suspended Bracing System into a four-string that features an overall length of 32.5 inches and a scale length of 21 inches.

Built with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the model also has a Dual Port System to allow players to better hear what they’re playing. Boulder Creek says moving the top sound hole away from the center reduces or cancels out feedback issues “while still maintaining a fat, warm, bass sound.”
Other features include Aquila Thunder Gut strings, a UK-300T preamp and tuner, and a Gloss Vintage Burst. The Boulder Creek Travel Bass will be shipping with a street price of $360.

My biggest issue with super-short scale basses, such as the Kala U-Bass, has been intonation. I hope the Boulder Creek Travel Bass fares better.
Where can I see one?
