Bass of the Week: Wreck Guitars W Minor 5

This week we’re checking out the W Minor 5 by Wreck Guitars. Introduced late last year, the model can be fitted with a number of woods and pickup configurations.
“This is a modern bass for light right arm playing with bridge moved more to the end of an instrument,” the company writes. “[The W Minor 5’s] balance is perfect for sitting position as [well as] stand up playing, so there is no neck dive or any stuff like that.”
Wreck Guitars are handcrafted in Croatia. This particular bass features an ash body topped by quilted maple in a violin burst finish. Its three-piece maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard and 24 frets. The pickups are a pair of Dolezal HCJB5 hum canceling single coils matched to a Noll TCM2 preamp. Controls are Volume, Balance, Passive Tone, Bass, and Treble. Finally, the hardware is made by Schaller.
