Miles Mosley: How I Got The Gig

Bass monster Miles Mosley’s impressive resume is a who’s who of popular music. He’s shared the stage and studio with Chris Cornell, Common, Christina Aguilera, Jonathan Davis, Herbie Hancock, Gnarls Barkley, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Mosley recently opened up to Jammcard during their “How I Got the Gig” interview series about how he landed the role of bassist and musical director for Lauryn Hill.

Mosley, who also discusses his basses and work with the West Coast Get Down, talks about what it took to hang with the R&B star’s fast-paced production style. The chat gives great insight to working in the music industry.

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
