Sadowsky Introduces 3-Knob Onboard Bass Preamp

Sadowsky Onboard Bass Preamp

Sadowsky has released a the 3-knob Onboard bass preamp, which is their first to be available as a prewired drop-in for J style basses without a side jack. No soldering is required to install it in your bass.

“It has been designed for minimally invasive installation on most J-bass style instruments,” the company writes. “The only modification required is a battery compartment, which can be hidden under a pickguard or routed in the back of the instrument. The 3-knob Onboard Bass Preamp can be installed with the included control plate or easily transferred to another control plate or pickguard or installed in a rear control cavity.”

The preamp’s controls include Volume and Pan knobs with a stacked Bass/Treble knob. The volume control also works as a push/pull switch to toggle between active and passive operation.
