Trickfish Amplification Announces SM110 “Perch” Bass Cabinet
Trickfish Amplification has unveiled the SM110 “Perch” cabinet. Originally intended for acoustic bass or guitar, the 1×10? is described as a low profile light-to-medium duty electric bass speaker cab.
It’s fitted with a 10-inch Eminence neodymium speaker rated at 300 watts as well as a 100-watt silk dome neodymium tweeter. The 8-ohm cab is built with baltic birch and covered in “sharkskin” vinyl.
“A key feature of the Perch is the rugged mechanical “kickstand” that allows the cabinet to be pointed upwards at a 45? angle effectively de-coupling it from the floor thereby reducing unwanted low frequencies that tend to resonate in the cavity of the Acoustic bass,” Trickfish explains. They also add that they can be positioned as floor monitors.
The Trickfish Amplification SM110 “Perch” Cabinet weighs in at 21 pounds. It will be available with street price of $699.
