The Claypool Lennon Delirium Announce New Album, Release First Track

While Les Claypool said that Primus may be on the back burner for a bit, that gives him time for other projects. That’s clear now as the bassist has announced a new album called South of Reality with The Claypool Lennon Delirium with Sean Lennon. The duo says the record is an organic extension of their 2016 debut, Monolith of Phobos, which may be due partly to the recording process at Claypool’s Rancho Relaxo studio.
“Basically it was the same setup in the same place,” the bassist told Rolling Stone. “I am a creature of habit and have all my old vintage gear dialed in the way I like it, so I like to helm from the same spot.”
South of Reality will be released in February, but the band has released the track “Blood and Rockets” as a preview:
The Claypool Lennon Delirium will be on tour in the spring to support the album with a handful of California dates this year.
