Ibanez Introduces SR2405W to SR Premium Series

Ibanez expanded their SR Premium lineup for 2019 with the SR2405W. The five-string bass utilizes the company’s flagship SR body shape while adding plenty of upgrades including a figured maple top and African Mahogany body.
“The Figured Maple top brings a clear attack, while the African Mahogany body delivers a warm and fat low end,” Ibanez says. “The Atlas 5-piece Panga Panga/Purpleheart neck provides tonal clarity and the Panga Panga fretboard offers a superior note attack.” The neck is also reinforced with KTS Titanium rods.
The SR2405 is fitted with a pair of Aguilar Super Double pickups as well as Ibanez’s three-band EQ complete with a three-way mid-frequency switch and an active/passive switch. Other features include the MR5S bridge, a Black TUSQ XL nut, and Gotoh machine heads.
The Ibanez SR2405W ships with a gig bag. It will be available with a price point of $1,599.99.
