Arkham Sound Introduces The Oracle Tube Preamp Pedal
Arkham Sound has expanded its line of preamps with the Oracle, a tube-driven preamp centered around their full EQ. That includes a James Tonestack with gain, treble, and bass controls as well as a range knob that sweep’s the tonestacks midpoint between 150Hz and 1kHz.
Arkham also fits the box with switches to provide bumps at the hi, mid, and lo ranges. A high-pass filter moves a -3dB point from 30Hz to 100Hz. “It’s a gentle roll-off(-6dB/octave), used in conjunction with the Bass control and boost switches to shape your low-end tone,” the company explains.
Other features include dual lo-z outputs, a 12AX7 preamp tube, and a powder-coated aluminum chassis. The Arkham Sound Oracle preamp is available now with a price point of $550 with a build time of two to three weeks.
