Ibanez Unveils 2021 Limited Edition SR Premium Models
Ibanez has unveiled their annual limited edition run of SR Premium basses, which they describe as “built to be noticed.” The four-string SR4CMLTD and five-string SR5CMLTD are built with multi-piece bodies of alternating ash and figured maple finished in a Caribbean Islet Low Gloss finish.
The five-piece neck is made of panga panga and purpleheart with KTS titanium rods for reinforcement. A bound panga panga fingerboard holds 24 frets inlaid with abalone ovals. For electronics, Ibanez fits each model with a pair of Nordstrand Big Singles in wood covers matched with a bypass-able 3-band EQ complete with a three-way mid-frequency switch.
The Ibanez SR4CMLTD and SR5CMLTD basses are available now with prices of $1,599 and $1,699.
