Clive H Jones: Linkin Park’s “Heavy” Solo Bass Arrangement on an Ibanez Ashula
No Treble reader Clive H Jones sent us another impressive solo bass performance, and this time, he’s using one of the most interesting basses to do it.
“The Ibanez Ashula hybrid seemed like a good choice for this one as the original track features two vocalists, so the different ‘voices’ of the fretted/fretless parts could emulate both parts. The backing track was created on Native Instruments Maschine with an octaved down bass line played over the top,” he shared.
