Bob Weir Announces September Run with Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros
With the conclusion of Dead & Company’s final tour, Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir has announced he’ll be hitting the road once again this fall with his band Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros. The group includes Dead & Company keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and drummer Jay Lane, who filled in for Bill Kreutzmann on the band’s final run. The Wolf Bros are rounded out by bassist, producer, and Blue Note Records president Don Was.
They’ll be joined by The Wolfpack, a string and brass quintet, as they render songs from the Grateful Dead catalog, Weir’s solo material, and more.
The tour kicks off September 8th in Park City, Utah, during the Park City Song Summit Festival. From there, they’ll jump to Tennessee to join Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival for seven dates along the East Coast and Midwest. The final show on the itinerary is on September 28th at the Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore, Maryland.
