Mark Griffiths and Ryder team up for new retro-guitars, and to help a good cause

Bassist Mark Griffiths, who currently plays in the legendary UK group The Shadows, has developed a series of retro-guitars to be sold by Sue Ryder Care Charity. The name of the new instrument line is The Ryder.

The Ryder has ten different models available: four solid bodied electric guitars, one semi-acoustic, two acoustic, two classical guitars and an electric bass guitar.

The guitars will be sold both in Ryder’s store locations and online. The proceeds from the sales will go to provide quality care for people living with end of life and long-term conditions including cancer, stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, dementia, Huntington’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease and Motor Neurone Disease.

Griffiths had the following to say about the Ryder models: “The Ryder guitars are great value for money – they are within the student price range but can be used by professionals… All of the guitars have been through a rigorous testing process to ensure they really do deliver.”
