Deftones announce new album
In an interview with AOL’s Noisecreep, Deftones has announced their next album will release on April 27th, 2010.
Before bassist Chi Cheng‘s car accident that left him in a coma in November 2008, the band had nearly finished an album, Eros. Since then, the band has since decided to start over with new material and with bassist Sergio Vega.
The new album will be the sixth studio effort by the group, following the 2006 release of Saturday Night Wrist.
Cheng was released from intensive care in May, and he is now home in a “minimally conscious” state. The fundraiser for Cheng is still underway, and has raised over $82,000 for Cheng’s ongoing medical expenses and care. For more details, check out One Love for Chi.
