Former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson is helping to introduce a new device, called the Beamz, to the music industry. On his latest episode of his YouTube video series, “David Ellefson’s Rock Shop,” Ellefson demos the apparatus, which is a system of laser beams, which when broken, trigger computer software to play back or create music. David says, “It’s very simple and fun to use for anyone, regardless of their age, skill or musical experience.” Several of his original compositions are bundled with the device, including the “Rock Shop” theme song.
Ellefson will make an appearance at the Beamz booth during the NAMM show in Anaheim, California on January 14 at 2:00 p.m. You can watch the rest of David Ellefson’s Rock Shop series on his YouTube channel. Visit theBeamz.com for more information on their products.
