Phil Lesh celebrates 70 with charity show
Former Grateful Dead and current Furthur bassist Phil Lesh will be celebrating his 70th birthday with a giant concert, being billed as “Furthur and Friends.” The concert will take place on Friday, March 12th, although Lesh’s actual birthday is the 15th, at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Auditorium.
The event will also be a special benefit for the Unbroken Chain Foundation. The Foundation is Phil Lesh’s humanitarian effort, and proceeds from the show will ultimately support the Haitian Earthquake Relief.
