Three-Bass Supergroup Freebass Releases EP

Freebass: Two Worlds CollideFreebass, the three-bass supergroup hailing from Manchester, has released their debut EP entitled Two Worlds Collide. The band consists of Peter Hook (Joy Division/ New Order, Gary “Mani” Mounfield (The Stone Roses/Primal Fear), and Andy Rourke (The Smiths). The album also features guest vocals by Tim Burgess of the Charlatans, Pete Wylie of the Mighty Wah, and Howard Marks.

The EP is comes 5 years after the bands creation and has been held up by the band members’ other projects. A full length LP is set for later this month, featuring the group’s full time vocalist, Gary Briggs.

Freebass has also announced two gigs in support of their new albums: June 1st at 100 Club in London and June 3rd at FAC251 The Factory in Manchester.
