Will Lee and the Fab Faux to Perform John Lennon’s 70th Birthday Celebration Event

Fab Faux

Will Lee, bassist for the Late Show with David Letterman, and his band The Fab Faux have been confirmed for a special event celebrating John Lennon’s 70th birthday. The show, entitled “A Night in the Life- A John Lennon 70th Birthday Celebration,” will include two sets of the songwriter’s greatest music, ranging from The Beatles through his solo career.

The Fab Faux, which painstakingly recreates the music of the Beatles, was co-founded by Lee and guitarist Jimmy Vivino and also includes Rich Pagano, Frank Agnello, and Jack Petruzzelli. Lee is proud of the group’s ability to replicate the Beatles’ album music, which they themselves could often not play live.

“Whenever anyone saw The Beatles perform it was just the four guys,” he says. “You never saw them on stage with a sitar or a string section. We have all that stuff.”

The show will take place September 25 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Portions of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the Spirit Foundation, which was set up by Lennon and Yoko Ono.
