Hot Tuna Signs with Red House Records, Plan New Album
The iconic rock band Hot Tuna has just signed a deal with Red House Records, which is home to many other blues and roots based artists including Guy Davis, Lynn Miles, and Garnet Rogers.
Hot Tuna, which was formed in 1969 by Jefferson Airplane bassist Jack Casady and guitarist Jorma Kaukonen, have just finished up their tour schedule and are headed to Levon Helm’s studio to begin recording a studio album full of new material.
The band has toured on and off through the years, but this will be their first album of fresh songs in 20 years. The new album is set for release in early 2011.
