A Perfect Circle Reunites; Tool Writing New Material

A Perfect CircleA Perfect Circle have confirmed that rumors of their reunion are in fact true, and they will be taking the stage once again. The band will be performing all three of their albums in full in each city they visit on a soon to be announced tour, with the albums spread out over three nights at each stop. Exact dates and ticket information aren’t yet available, but the cities will include Phoenix, Arizona, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, and Las Vegas.

The “reunion,” however, will not include former bassists Jeordie White or Paz Lenchantin, as they are busy with other projects. The new APC low-ender is Matt McJunkins, who is also in singer Maynard James Keenan’s other project, Puscifer. The rest of the lineup features guitarists Billy Howerdel and James Iha, as well as drummer Josh Freese.

Keenan’s other band, Tool is working up new material for follow up album to 10,000 Days. Bassist Justin Chancellor and drummer Danny Carey are hard at work working on new tunes, and Keenan said he would be joining them soon in L.A. to get the ball rolling.
