Ron Carter to be Interviewed for Jazz Legacies Series
Ron Carter will be the first interview of the year for the Jazz Legacies series at the Graduate Center, CUNY in New York City. Hosted by critic and author Gary Giddins, the series offers listeners a chance to hear about the lives and careers of jazz legends from the musicians themselves, and Carter has a lot to say. He had a healthy career even before rocketing to superstardom with Miles Davis’ ’60s quintet, and throughout the years he has played on over 2,500 albums, making him one of the most recorded bassists to date.
Jazz Legacies: A Conversation with Ron Carter will take place October 18 at the Graduate Center Elebash Recital Hall in New York City. Admission is $12 ($8 for Graduate Center members).
