Joe Satriani: New Album and Tour with Mermen Bassist Allen Whitman
Rock guitarist Joe Satriani is releasing his 14th solo album, Black Swans & Wormhole Wizards next week, with Mermen bassist Allen Whitman holding down the low end.
“[Allen] has such a unique style, he’s a very creative rock and groove-oriented player,” Satriani shares.
The album, out October 5th, will be supported by a UK tour starting October 17th, with Whitman joining Satriani on the dates.
Tour dates include:

- October 18, 2010: Bristol Colston Hall
- October 19, 2010: London HMV Hammersmith Apollo
- October 21, 2010: Newcastle City Hall
- October 22, 2010: Glasgow Clyde Auditorium

Satriani has been busy, touring with Chickenfoot, a band comprised of former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith. Their self-titled debut reached certified gold in the U.S.
