Unearth Announces Benefit For Fallen Bassist

UnearthUnearth have announced that their first show of 2011 will be a benefit for their former bassist, Chris “Rover” Rybicki, who was killed by a drunk driver in 2010. The show will also feature Rybicki’s former bands.

“We will be playing alongside another one of Rovers former bands No Choice as well as our friends in Screams of Erida and Gasket,” the band explained on their Facebook event page. “All proceeds will go directly to the Rybicki family. Come down to one of our old stomping grounds to celebrate the life of our long time friend as well as helping out the family he left behind.”

Rover was a founding member of Unearth and played on their first two EPs as well as their full-length debut, The Stings of Conscience. The event will take place February 19 at Saint Michaels Hall in Lynn, Massachusetts. For more info, check out the Facebook event.
