Rylee Releases Bass Fretboard Addict App

Michael Rylee has just released the Bass Fretboard Addict app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The app is a fretboard trainer game designed to help “improve your visual, mental, and listening bass guitar skills” as well as your ability to read music notation.

Using real bass guitar sounds, the app challenges you to find notes on the fretboard by string or by frets. Notes can also be learned by their English syllable or “Romance” syllable (do, re, mi, etc). Your statistics are kept for you to track your progress. For the southpaws out there, a left-handed setting is included.

The Bass Fretboard Addict for iPhone is available now for an introductory price of $0.99 from the iTunes store.

This app would be better if they turned the right hand side info sideways to aligne with the lenght of the neck so you could turn the iPad sideways and look down across the neck, like when holding a bass.
