Louis Johnson and Bill Dickens Jam

Here’s a cool video of funk legend Louis Johnson and 7-string wonder Bill Dickens trading licks at The Stage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The clip kicks off with a couple minutes of drums by Reggie Bordeaux (and some weird faces), but once the two bassists start lettin’ loose, the good times roll.

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.

Two Bass Giants on the same stage at the same time! That is something that you don’t see every day! Awesome!
