Lemmy Documentary Released on DVD

Lemmy DocumentaryAfter a long wait, the Lemmy documentary has been released on DVD.

The nearly two-hour film, which took about four years to make, gives an unprecedented look into the life of rock icon and Motörhead bassist/frontman Lemmy Kilmister. Originally screened at last year’s South by Southwest festival, the documentary includes interviews with Metallica, Dave Grohl, Ozzy Osbourne, Slash, and more as well as footage of Lemmy at home, in the studio and on stage.

Directors Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski throw in tons of bonus features in the U.S. version to make it the most comprehensive look at one of rock’s most notable figures.

“The DVD will span two discs, and will include four hours of bonus material, more than is being offered in any other country,” they state on the movie’s website. “And, we promise, it’s all killer, no filler. It is designed to be a treasure trove of everything Lemmy.”

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
