BOSS Announces Second Annual Looper Contest in the U.S.

BOSS Loop Station World Championship 2BOSS is once again holding a competition for looping artists with the kick off of the BOSS Loop Station World Championship 2. The contest runs from now until August 31, 2011 and is open to bassists and all other looping artists in the U.S.

Entrants must submit a video performance and use one of BOSS’s RC-series looping devices. The company says the peformances will be judged by a panel of music industry insiders on the merits of the “creativity, musicianship, stage presence, and technical skill of the looping performances.”

The top six entries will compete in the U.S. Finals on October 22, 2011 in Hollywood, California. The winner of the U.S. finals will receive $3,000 in BOSS gear and a trip to compete in the BOSS Loop Station World Championship 2 contest in Frankfurt, Germany to compete with other winners from around the globe at Musikmesse 2012. The second prize winner will receive $2,000 in BOSS gear, and the third prize winner will receive $1,000 worth of BOSS gear.

To enter, upload a video performance using to Youtube (five minute performance maximum), and submit your video via the BOSS website.
