Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic to Help Commemorate “Nevermind” with Performance

Krist NovoselicKrist Novoselic will be helping to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s Nevermind album by throwing a concert in Seattle, Washington during which songs from the seminal record will be played in its entirety. The event will have each song performed by a different band, all of whom are Seattle-based.

Scheduled for September 20th, the concert will also serve as a fundraiser for Susie Tennant, a friend of the local music scene.

“I am performing a Nevermind song with PUSA at the EMP on 9/20 not the whole album!” the bassist tweeted. “Look forward to the event to help @susietennant get well!”

Released in 1991, Nirvana’s Nevermind has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. Limited to 10,000 copies, the Super Deluxe Edition is being issued later this year is a 3-CD, 1-DVD set including rarities and remixes.
