Bergantino Audio Systems Unveils HD Series Bass Cabinets

Bergantino Audio Systems has announced a new line of bass cabs called the HD Series. The new models all feature 100% Baltic birch construction, newly designed woofers, tweeters, phase-coherent crossovers with a tweeter control, tolex covering, and metal corners.

The HD112

Bergantino Audio Systems HD Series HD112 Bass CabinetMost compact of the new line is the HD112, which features a 12″ woofer with an 80 ounce magnet. Rated at 350 watts at 8 ohms, the cab weighs in at 44 pounds. Street price for the HD112 is $649.

The HD410

Bergantino Audio Systems HD Series HD410 Bass CabinetThe largest of the new series is the HD410, featuring four 10″ woofers and a tweeter. Weighing in at 88 pounds, the 410 has removable castors for easier transportation. It’s rated at 800 watts at 4 ohms, and has a street price of $1099.

    I paid around $400 for an Avatar 2×12 a few years ago – rugged 13-ply birch plywood construction, 2 – 500 Watt special design Eminence woofers, heavy duty crossover, Foster tweeter. $1000 bucks for a 2×12? Come on.

  2. Does Bergantino rate the power handling of their speakers by the bogus thermal meltdown point, like most manufacturers? If so, what’s the derating factor for the usable – i.e. excursion limited – rating of the woofer(s)?

  3. I agree with Jeff’s comment. The only cab that comes close is the Accugroove.
