Meshell Ndegeocello Announces Tour Dates

Meshell NdegeocelloMeshell Ndegeocello has announced a string of tour dates to support her upcoming ninth album Weather, which is set for a November 8th release.

The bassist/singer/songwriter will stop off for a few shows on the East Coast next month before covering the West Coast and Midwest in January.

The album, which she describes as “strkingly organic” and “song-based,” is yet another new approach for Ndegeocello, whose albums all have different textures and feelings to them. When asked about changing up her styles, she told KUT, “I like music and I try to stay interested. I’m trying to have a life where I stay interested and continue to grow and discover new things about my playing or myself. Plus, you age. You play different, you get interested in different things. I wrote a lot of those songs on the first record when I was 19. I’m just a different person. I’ve had an array of experiences and emotions.”

The track “Dirty World” from Weather is available now as a free download.
