Hal Leonard Releases Sheet Music Direct for iPad

Sheet Music Direct for iPadHal Leonard has brought their digital sheet music store to the iPad. Sheet Music Direct for iPad is a three-in-one app, allowing access to the publisher’s more than 100,000 songs available for purchase, as well as a sheet music viewer and score library.

Past Sheet Music Direct customers can access all their previous purchases through the app, and new customers can register from the app. Once purchased, the songs are available on both the iPad and a registered computer.

The app also has many handy features for performance and practice, including a built-in tuner, metronome, set list, social sharing features and compatible with PageFlip Cicada and AirTurn BT-105 hardware.

The library viewing modes offer both list and browse views, you can sort by title, artist or notation, create set lists and edit them on the fly, and archive past music so it is out of the library, but accessible later. Viewing preferences include setting the paper type and backgrounds.

Interactive sheets offer playback controls, a multi-track mixer, transposition and a transposable melody line.

The free app comes with 15 free songs, and is available from the App Store.
