Van Halen to Tour, Release New Album in 2012

Van HalenVan Halen has released a new trailer announcing that the iconic rock band will be hitting the road in 2012. Though the dates have not yet been revealed, the teaser states tickets will be up for sale on January 10, 2012.

The band has also signed with Interscope Records and is expected to release a new album in conjunction with the tour.

The current lineup will include original VH frontman David Lee Roth, but original bassist Michael Anthony will not be line-up, as expected. Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of guitarist Eddie, took Anthony’s spot after a falling out, and the young bassist has been with the band since.

Anthony will be busy working with Chickenfoot, his supergroup formed with fellow Van Halen alum Sammy Hagar.

Stay tuned for further details.

with the ever-growing egos of ‘Mr Vegas’ (DLR) and Eddie, its a matter of ‘WHEN’ the next ousting happens. I wonder who’ll be the next after Dave?

Eddie needs to have another son, then he can Dave again, make the new kid the lead singer, and rename themselves The Van Halens—–I’m sure he’s pondering the thought.
