Epifani Unveils UL3 Series Bass Cabinets

Epifani UL3 Series Bass CabinetsIn addition to the AL Series, Epifani has introduced the next incarnation of their flagship UL series cabinets with the UL3 line. The UL3’s differ from the previous generation in that they have ceramic drivers, lighter weight enclosures, and textured paint finishes.

The series includes 4×10, 3×10, 2×10, and 1×12 models, as well as a DIST 112 model, which features the company’s DIST technology and is switchable between 4 and 8 ohm capacity. Besides their respective drivers, each cabinet houses a 100-watt bullet tweeter, controllable via an adjustable level knob mounted on the back of the cab. Other features for the series include dual Speakon + 1/4? output connectors, Italian Poplar plywood, Dado joint construction, steel recessed handles, and 18 gauge steel grills.

The Epifani Ul3 series cabinets are designed and built in the U.S. The new cabinets should be hitting stores in the next few weeks, with prices starting at $699. For more info, check out the Epifani website.

  1. What is the point of something that runs at 5.3 ohms? If your minimum impedance is 4 ohms and you try and run 2 of them you blow the amp and if not you never get full power.
