Oktober Introduces Production Version of DevilWing Bass

After first introducing it a year and a half ago, Oktober Guitars is now making a production model of their DevilWing bass guitar in addition to the U.S. Custom Shop version. The bass was designed by Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein and is aptly part of the company’s Von Frankenstein line.

The DevilWing features set neck construction with a mahogany body and neck. The rosewood fingerboard sports 27 jumbo frets with a “bat” taper at the highest frets, while mother-of-pearl bat inlays serve as fret markers.

The bass features Oktober’s Suckerpunch soap bar pickup and black hardware to accent the flat black finish.

The Oktober DevilWing Bass Guitar is available now with a factory direct price of around $699, while the U.S. Custom Shop model goes for $3,500. For more info, check out the Oktober website.

    • I bought one of these today, I love punk rock, metal and grunge so why the hell not? I love the way it sounds. Don’t knock this sexual beast until you try it.

  1. Undoubtedly the best bays for Metullll!

  2. I like the inlays, but to be honest, that’s about it.

  3. the ugliest and most uncomfortable looking thing(sorry I just can’t bring myself to call it a bass). for those of you thinking about it and I know you’re out there if looks are that important to you go into visual arts. cheers!

  4. Hahaha hilarious, ridiculous, in the right sort of band it might look cool, it does have a certain something. I love in the video when he busts out that little funk lick on it. And, 27 frets!

    • Get me the bat-guitar robin, I will funk these criminals out of their devious way and into the jail cell where the belong.

  5. I think it’s awesome!!!!!!!!!!!¡!!! :)
