KISS and Mötley Crüe Announce North American Tour

KISS and Mötley Crüe will be hitting the road this summer for a trek so epic it’s simply dubbed “The Tour.” Starting at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia on July 20th, the extensive tour covers the entire Continental U.S., eventually wrapping up on September 23rd in Hartford, Connecticut.

Both iconic rock bands will be debuting new music on the road, as KISS has been working on a new album entitled Monster, and Mötley Crüe will be playing at least one brand new song, according to bassist Nikki Sixx.

“We’re gonna play [the new song] on tour. We just wrote it and recorded it. We’re just finishing mixing,” he revealed to VH1 Radio Network’s Dave Basner. “It’s called ‘Sex’ and it sounds very much like it’s off of the first record [1981’s Too Fast for Love]. And that was definitely on purpose. I’ve been writing very simple riffs for the last year and focusing on how these riffs would work for Vince [Neil, singer], basically, and took it in the studio with Tommy [Lee, drummer] and Mick [Mars, guitarist] and the thing just came alive.”

KISS’s Monster is the follow up to 2009’s Sonic Boom. Bassist Gene Simmons, who will be awarded Revolver Magazine’s Golden God Award in April, will also be taking the band on a world tour, also slated to begin during the summer.
