Italia Introduces the Imola Bass Guitar

Italia’s new bass, the Imola, is described as “part 60s and part 21st century.”

The bass features a korina body with acoustic chambering, and an f-hole. Finish options include Black and Tobacco Sunburst.

The Imola’s hard rock maple neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. Pickups on the bass are a pair of Wilkinson WBJs, which are controlled with respective volume knobs and a master tone knob. The chrome hardware includes Italia tuners and a Wilkinson WBBC bridge.

The Italia Imola is available now in 4- and 5-string models now for $659 and $699, respectively.

  7. New? I’ve owed the fiver in tobacco sunburst for more than a year, bought from a local store in Durham, NC. Nice neck, great looks — I always get asked about it. But “new”?

  8. These have been out for awhile, I almost bought one…. anyone know if that pickup set can get a good Fender Jazz type sound? Love the retro styling (Ampeg Scroll bass minus the scroll).
