KISS Releases 20th Studio Album, Monster

KISS: MonsterGet out your axe and face paint: KISS is back with their 20th studio album, entitled Monster. Anchored by the outspoken Gene Simmons, the effort is their second with the lineup of singer Paul Stanley, lead guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer.

The band kept things old school by recording to tape and keeping things simple. Likening the new album to their first three records, Monster is loaded with 12 tracks of straight-ahead rock.

“There are no symphony orchestras, boy choirs, keyboards, outside producers or songwriters on this album,” said Simmons. “The best thing we did was to turn inwards to ourselves. Tommy and Eric have revitalized this band, with a work ethic and the talent to back it up. This is a real band effort. KISS has become a behemoth. We’re going where no bands have gone before.”

Monster is out now on CD, vinyl and digital formats (iTunes and Amazon MP3).
