Aerosmith Releases “Music From Another Dimension!”
The veteran rockers of Aerosmith have released Music From Another Dimension!, their 15th studio album and first album featuring new material since 2001.
While bassist Tom Hamilton explains the whole band developed the album, he admitted to Ultimate Classic Rock that he took a larger role in the music. Two of the tracks – “Tell Me” and the bonus song “Up On A Mountain” – were penned solely by Hamilton.
“Well there’s two songs that I wrote completely,” he said. “One of them is called ‘Tell Me’ and I’ve had a demo of me singing on it for a while now and I just always pined away to hear that song and those lyrics with someone like Steven [Tyler] singing them. It’s a real joy. It’s so validating. I went home from that session when he did his vocal on it and I just realized, ‘Oh my God, no matter what happens with this record or this song, I’ve just crossed this line into a new world where something that I wrote has been validated.’ And then there’s a song on the deluxe version of the album called ‘Up on the Mountain’ that I actually sang. So I’m really on the edge of my seat about that one.”
Music From Another Dimension is available in CD, vinyl and digital formats (iTunes and Amazon MP3), as well as a Deluxe Edition which includes bonus songs, a DVD and a poster.
