Meet Ankadiov Subran, a bassist from Indonesia who made it easy to select him as reader spotlight with a single line in his profile: “My dad bought me a bass guitar, I threw my guitar away, and I’ve played the bass ever since.”

Bio:

I’ve enjoyed listening to good music since I was a kid, and that’s my only reason to play the bass: to make a really good music. I never really tried to do a “masterpiece” bass solo or anything. I’m 22 years old and today, I’ve played with many artist in Indonesia (I’ve gathered my vids on my Youtube page – see below). I perform many genres such as jazz, gospel, funk, R&B, rock, blues, pop, reggae, fusion, etc.

In the present, I currently do some recordings for many Indonesian singers, bands, including my own , Indonesian Youth Regeneration (IYR) – and my bass-sax duet project, RhythmSaxion.

Location:

Jakarta, Indonesia

Day gig:

Bass player, Arranger, Producer, and last but not least, a student.

Years experience:

7 years

IYR (Indonesian Youth Regeneration) an album should be released by 2013

RhythmSaxion, still record stuffs, hopefully released also by 2013
