Andrew Balkwill: Let Go
Here’s a fun video sent to us by bassist Dave Delgado, who rocks out his P-bass during this live session with pianist Andrew Balkwill on the tune “Let Go”.
And Delgado grooves hard.
He revealed to us that he used “muted plectrum grooves trying to imitate and old analogue synth with fast attack and short decay & release for extra locking with the drums.”
A job well done, we’d say.
In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
Well done! ;)
NICE TO SEE SOMEBODY USING A PLECTRUM.IT DEFINITELY GIVES A GOOD , STRIKING EFFECT.

Obviously most plectrum players should be thrown down a well, but I really liked that! :D
I am so very very glad that the Bootsy’s, Jimi’s and Django’s didn’t listen to all the opinionated dogmatists of their day…
Dave, the best. Andrew Balkwill: Let Go UFFFF.
