Marleaux Bass Guitars Introduces Votan XS Deluxe Model
German luthier Gerald Marleaux has introduced a new model for 2013 named the Votan XS Deluxe. Continuing on the traditionally inspired Votan series, the XS Deluxe features a slim birdseye maple neck and a smaller solid African Dibetou hardwood body.

The Votan XS Deluxe is fitted with a pair of Delano JSBC custom single coil pickups and a Marleaux 2-band EQ with passive tone control. Hardware includes a custom chrome bridge by ETS and Schaller tuners.
In addition to the base model, Marleaux unveiled the Votan XS Deluxe Chip Shearin Signature, which substitutes a swamp ash body for the Dibetou and comes with a birdseye maple fingerboard with oval inlays.
The Marleax Votan XS Deluxe is available in four and five-string versions with tons of custom options available. It’s available for order with a retail price of $4,400 for the four-string and $4,600 for the five-string. For more info, check out the Marleaux website.
